Today, using an Ultra Mobile PC and wireless equipment like bar code scanners and laser distance meters can be a challenge. This is especially true when your joggling using a hand-held device and entering data into to a computer all at the same time. JMA Technology has developed a lightweight, water-resistant mobile desktop for the Ultra Mobile PC. The mobile desktop is designed to provide the user easy viewing of the display and easy access to the application interface without joggling the computer and a hand-held device. The unique design of the mobile desktop will increase a user productivity on most projects.
The mobile desktop is designed to provide the user of a UMPC their third hand. This is accomplished by constructing the case with an open side to access controls and inventive use of straps and foam to position the UMPC perpendicular to and away from the body. This configuration allows easy viewing of the entire UMPC screen and easy access to the controls. The mobile desktop is designed with four attachment points which allow for large number of different configurations. When the shoulder strap is worn diagonally behind the back, the case is attached using three (3) points, this allows either left or right-hand operation and easy access to the touch screen for hand writing or data input.
